celebrity fly fishing - ashton kutcher
we have another celebrity fly fishing related post, this time it includes ashton kutcher, the new guy on cbs’ two and a half men.
the story from gawker is that ashton broke out a laptop that was covered in stickers from companies that he has invested in, and was using it around the set of the show. there are the more notable tech start ups like flipboard, foursquare and hipmunk, but ashton has devoted a lot of real estate to the hatch reels sticker in the top right.
i’m not sure if he’s an actual investor in hatch, or if he just digs their gear (he did recently go fishing). but its great to see the fishing industry getting spotted in more mainstream channels.
i had wanted a hatch reel for a long time, and finally got one and took it down to belize this summer. the thing is bomb-proof and will definitely last a lifetime. they are a bit on the heavy side, but i’d rather have that and have it last for a 100 years than be on the other end of the spectrum. definitely check them out.
